Give her a reason to forget the past
And make her believe that something can last
Tell her why she should let go of the fear
And let her know that she’d cried her last tear
She suffers in memories of the pain
Knowing only the tears that fall like rain
Still feeling each blow that took her belief
And left her lying shattered in the grief
She tries to get up but she’s pulled back in
Crushing her hope that she can ever win
So give her reason to believe this time
That she’ll be safe when from this hole she climbs

This feels very familiar- what you have described that is – I don’t know if that is a good thing or bad thing. Beautifully written. x

Hmm, still trying to decide if it’s good or bad myself! Thank you! π
