Passion With No Limit

Just another Tequila Sunset...

Teasing lips and tantalizing eyes
The sweetest face but a mind of lies
You pull me close and kiss me sweet
And speak of love as our eyes meet
Is this a true love, one that’s real?
You touch me and my heart you steal
My body aches for you to be close
So you pull me near you as a toast
As our souls do become as one with each other
Our hearts start a fire that never will smother
A passion hotter than the hottest flame
A fire out of control with just us to blame

I have actually found this particular poem a couple different places online.  In case you’re wondering, yes, this is actually mine.  I wrote this my freshman year in high school and I remember the guy I was dating at the time that I wrote this about.  🙂  I debated on posting this and admitting it’s mine for fear of the possible loss of my anonymity here, but as I do really enjoy this one and I’m quite proud of it, I decided to post it anyway.

Night Sky

Night Sky 5

The sun falls slowly from the sky
Deepening colors catch your eye
Stars appears in the darkening blue
Shining bright in the deepening hue
More and more as the minutes pass
Covering the sky, open and vast
Each one a hope, each one a dream
Each one a tear, each one a scream
We whisper our hopes and our fears
Shedding our sorrow and our tears
Sharing our dreams with the sky above
Searching for answers, and for love

This is the last one that I have that I wrote while I was in middle school and another that I had gotten published.

Embrace The Cold

Darkness thrives as the light begins to fade
Shadows closing in where brightness once laid
Clouds roll in, taking the light of the stars and moon
Only blackness seeps through and so spreads it’s gloom
Creeping deeper still, the blackness filling you inside
Try to run and escape but there is nowhere to hide
Seeing the world through eyes of despair
Loss of faith and desire to care
Surrender to the bleakness and embrace the cold touch
Accept what has come to be, this new world that is so much

This was the last poem I wrote while I was in college and truthfully the last one I had written until just the other day.  Yes, as I’ve been posting these previous writings of mine I have gotten inspired to write again.  I have a few more older poems I will be posting, but after that it will all be new ones.  With luck, I will stay inspired and continue writing as I had forgotten how much I really enjoy it.

Silver Moon

The Moon as seen by an observer from Earth. So...

An eternal darkness seems to cover the land
But a moon begins to shine a light that’s so grand
Its beauty takes the breath from me
And the stars shine for all to see
The moon shines through the darkness, light up the sky
Breaking through the blackness, stars reflecting in my eye
But dawn quickly comes and leaves me alone
Longing for the night and the light it shone

This is another poem that I wrote in middle school and was actually the second that I had gotten published.

Young Love

Seeds and golden bokeh

As our love goes on full of youthful bliss
You pull me close for a lingering kiss
Holding me close as the stars come out
Thinking of our love without a doubt
Wondering how long it will last
Before we feel that cold, icy blast
When will our young love fall apart
And who will break whose tender heart

This was actually the first poem I ever wrote, it was for a contest when I was in 6th or 7th grade.  It did get published which was cool and this was what got me started in writing.  Although I seem to have, um, misplaced all that wrote when I was younger, I did actually get plaques for a couple that I had gotten published so I still have a few of the very first poems I ever wrote.

Finsternis Natur

Dark and cold inside I thrive

Through all time I will survive

Through the ages I exist alone

Free of the ties to this heart of stone

Through the darkness I will dream and wander

Living in shadows, this life I squander
