So many times she’s been knocked down
Left all alone there on the ground
Cold and trembling upon the floor
Is this all that Fate has in store?
She longs to hope, too scared to try
But then that look within his eye
Begs her to take just one more chance
Fall in his arms, give him this dance

One Last Dance
No Surrender
He can feel the ice that runs in her veins
But he holds the key to unlock her chains
To ignite the fire that burns so cold
And see all her secrets as they unfold
She fights against it with all of her might
But within she knows it’s a losing fight
Though this may be one she’d rather not win
She can’t surrender and she can’t give in
Dream To Hope
She dreams to hope once again
To feel something deep within
For numbness and cold to finally pass
No longer to just look through the glass
At a world happy and content
To finally feel that she is meant
To feel all the things that others feel
To finally know what it is to heal
Into The Vortex
She’d rather be numb than feel the pain
And never feel the cold of the rain
From all of the storms that are yet to come
That do their best to make her succumb
So within her heart a vortex forms
And it will consume as it transforms
This heart once on fire to solid ice
But this new future will not suffice
To give up the pain she gives much more
All the happiness that was in store
Drawing Near
Thunder rolling deep within
As the end is closing in
She knows what’s coming, she has no fear
Quietly waiting as time draws near
Bracing herself against the cold
Letting go of what she can’t hold
Watching it all slip slowly away
Wondering how things went so astray
Closing her eyes and breathing deep
All of her control she must keep
Screams
Screaming out into the night
The fear within taking flight
Frustrations rise like the wind
No longer can I pretend
That all is right and all is well
As I slip down into this hell
A self-made prison built of hate
The walls as cold and dark as slate
And they are closing in evermore
And stifling me down to the core
Coldest Rain
The coldest rain falls upon my heart
And inside I slowly fall apart
I sit and ponder all that’s wrong
Feeling as though I don’t belong
While others have a place to be
I will sit alone quietly
And turn my mind to these words I write
Seeking to erase my lonely plight
Rising Flame
Flames of ice rise from her heart
Billowing high from the start
Once they burned so hot and fierce
Now within the ice does pierce
Growing colder with each day
Reaching further with its sway
Rising higher, they consume
All that’s holding back the gloom
Ice blue flames the only light
That warm glow nowhere in sight
Forevermore this flame will rise
Shining through her pale green eyes
