Another Night, Another Day

In the haze of dreams you lie beside me
Kissing me soft and holding me tightly
But the sweetest dreams always give way
To the dawn of yet another day
And as I wake I no longer find you
Lying next to me with those eyes so true
And time moves on and the sun will rise
As I blink away dreams from my eyes
Another night with only dreams to hold
Yet a day closer to a love so bold

Would You

“Would you cry for me
If I lost my way
Would you weep for me
If I could not stay
Would my absence
Even cause a stir
Among the masses
That are a blur”

To an empty void she posed these words
No one to hear but a few lonely birds
And as they soar so high in the air
Their soft cries fall to her with such care
Telling her that the world would cry
Through all the birds that fill the sky
If it were to find her gone
By the light of the early dawn
