So many times she’s been knocked down
Left all alone there on the ground
Cold and trembling upon the floor
Is this all that Fate has in store?
She longs to hope, too scared to try
But then that look within his eye
Begs her to take just one more chance
Fall in his arms, give him this dance

One Last Dance
The Last Fall
Broken and beaten, she tries to regain
Balance within she struggles to maintain
She stumbles and falls along this path
Trying to outrun all of Fate’s wrath
But her wounds too many for time to heal
The pain so deep that it’s all she can feel
In agony she falls one last time
She has no strength left to make that climb
Past to Future
Tenderness and love are all I knew
In the past when it was me and you
But life never fair took you away
And on your own path you went your way
But Fate undaunted has led you back
To finally give us what we lack
For every twist that we’ve made it through
Made us stronger than we ever knew
And with those strengths we can surely last
As we head to a future so vast
Waiting For Fate
With every breath that I take
My solitude I forsake
I ache for you while you’re away
To feel your touch, to know you’ll stay
Is all I need to make it through
Till once more I can be with you
Your words are my strength for this wait
And knowing that you are my fate
Destiny Found
She hides her scars and her tears
Let them see none of her fears
But he breaks those walls, sees right through
He somehow knows what he must do
He is here to heal her heart
Keep it from falling apart
And he will stand there by her side
Even after the tears are dried
Protect her from all he can
Evermore, that is his plan
So in his arms let her feel trust
And know that it won’t fade to dust
Fate’s Toy
Every new hit brings back the pain
Every new wound brings back the strain
Through the wounds ooze anger and hate
There’s no bandage that would abate
It flows freely and will not slow
Peace upon her Fate won’t bestow
For like them all she will soon break
For only so much can she take
Choices Made
A smoky haze filling her mind
And it leaves her feeling blind
Struggling to see the path to take
Conflicted by decisions to make
Which path would lead her to the light
Which one leads to eternal night
And which path is it she should choose
Either way there’s something to lose
Lose her heart or lose her soul
Choices always take their toll
She’ll close her eyes, leave it to Fate
To choose a course that’s true and straight
Changes
Seasons come and seasons go
With a perpetual flow
Like the oceans rise and fall
Heeding to the lunar call
And the sun will rise and set
On a path that’s just offset
My dreams the same, I watch them fade
Although their price I thought I paid
With my blood and with my tears
And all I’ve lost through the years
But it seems Fate still wants more
To give me what I ask for
Defeat
The darkness seeps in
Loneliness within
A crushing weight
This slow heart rate
Slower it beats
The pain defeats
All trust and hope
How can she cope
The joy recedes
The fear impedes
A chance for life
Within this strife
A struggle too great
So she bends to fate
This life alone
Is where she’s thrown
