In Her Touch

Passion burns in her every touch
Her eyes are saying just as much
She burns hotter as the night wears on
Shining brighter than the coming dawn
The fire flowing through her veins
The ice melting till none remains
Desire consuming her heart whole
As it courses through and fills her soul
Making her more than you ever thought
Surpassing all that you ever sought

No More Hiding

A fire burns deep within
Reignited by a grin
A simple smile oh so sweet
My will within it did defeat
Behind the ice I tried to hide
But you saw through my silly pride
You saw right through my very core
To the person I was before
To the one I could once more be
And all the things I don’t yet see

The Beast

His fangs so long, glow so bright
As they are bared to the light
They are strong and they are fierce
Into your flesh they will pierce
Across forked tongue flames will roll
Inside lives a darkened soul
His wings now spread open wide
Your fear quaking deep inside
Upon your knees you await
Which death will become your fate
Will it be by glossy teeth
Sharp as sword pulled from its sheath
Or by claws that rip and tear
With anger that will not spare
Would the fire now consume
Bringing forth your certain doom
And those wings that blot the sun
Surely show your death’s begun
For your trespass you will pay
This will be your dying day
See the beast you stand before
And hear now the dragon’s roar

The Guardian

Guarding her heart with ferocious intent
Defending her soul from further torment
He stands stoically poised at the gate
Smoke wrapping round his wings will soon sedate
If any approach it’s flames he’ll breathe
His razor-sharp claws he will unsheathe
He will protect her till the end
Giving her sweet heart time to mend

Fading Flame

The flames are sinking low
No longer do they glow
So brightly against the sky
Or fiercely within her eye
As that fire becomes subdued
All that she is she must conclude
Has faded more than she thought
Now she finds herself distraught
No way to feed this fire
As it falls from the pyre

Where There’s Smoke

The smoke rises up and fills the air
It blots out the sun without a care
This fire that burns so intense
And all around us they can sense
The heat of passion that we hold
These flames that burn so uncontrolled
Consuming all that’s in the way
Ensuring that our love will stay

Unbridled

Whispers in my ear make my heart beat quicker
The secrets you share make your dark eyes flicker
The world around begins to fade and disappear
We melt into this passion without any fear
You pull me close and you kiss me so deep
Fire ignites and into the flames we leap
Giving to each other all that we possess
My skin is on fire from your gentle caress
Something has been created that we never knew before
A love so pure and unbridled it reaches to our core

Passion With No Limit

Just another Tequila Sunset...

Teasing lips and tantalizing eyes
The sweetest face but a mind of lies
You pull me close and kiss me sweet
And speak of love as our eyes meet
Is this a true love, one that’s real?
You touch me and my heart you steal
My body aches for you to be close
So you pull me near you as a toast
As our souls do become as one with each other
Our hearts start a fire that never will smother
A passion hotter than the hottest flame
A fire out of control with just us to blame

I have actually found this particular poem a couple different places online.  In case you’re wondering, yes, this is actually mine.  I wrote this my freshman year in high school and I remember the guy I was dating at the time that I wrote this about.  🙂  I debated on posting this and admitting it’s mine for fear of the possible loss of my anonymity here, but as I do really enjoy this one and I’m quite proud of it, I decided to post it anyway.
