When

Weakness I hide, only strength will I show
My pain and suffering you’ll never know
I’ll keep on the mask, maintain the façade
With head held high, face your firing squad
I’ll be there to save you any way I can
But who will save me, where is my superman?
When will I feel safe to let my tears flow
When will it be ok to just let go

Her Light Grows

If only you could see her now
To her newfound strength you would bow
Such a light she now holds within
That grew in the dark that had been
Eclipsing her soul for a time
In such a way that was a crime
Never should she have to hide
The love she holds deep inside
Through the world it can now be spread
To other souls that lightly tread
This light within, she shares a piece
To all of those who seek release

Step Back

I am no longer afraid of you
Who do you think you are talking to
I’m not the same one you knew before
I have grown to become so much more
The anger within I’ll no longer hold
I will take you down until you are cold
In these flames I have been reborn
No longer bowing to your scorn
The power is now held by me
Time to open your eyes and see
Look now upon what you have made
In the bed you make you’ll be laid

Silent Words

His whispered words echo in her mind
A sweet memory that is so kind
In a world that feels so dark
Lighting her path with its spark
Though his face she doesn’t know
In her dreams his soul does glow
His gentle words they soothe her heart
Touching pieces that fell apart
He knows not the power that he holds
Or the healing effect that unfolds
She holds his presence oh so dear
Letting it erase all her fear
